Love Out Loud 2016

 In Around Campus, Community Support

Hope Village has repeatedly been the grateful recipient of the annual project called “Love Out Loud” where many community members come together to bless our town through acts of service.  Several area churches and ministries partner to work on different projects and needs in and around Meridian.  In the past few years Love Out Loud has helped clean and refresh our pool on campus, painted our aging buildings, and done various repairs.

This year, the volunteers focused on the landscape of our campus.  They worked in the blazing July sun to lay sod along the main entrance, leveled out a rocky flower bed in front of our cafeteria and planted azaleas, and created a large circular flower bed near our Tutoring building.  This included laying bricks for the border, leveling the soil, and planting numerous shrubs and trees, including azaleas and a large maple tree in the center.   This was a big task and it took many hands to complete it!  Thank you again to Love Out Loud for working so hard to beautify the campus that our children call home!
